History

Excel Auto Body was established in 1959, and is owned and operated by George White, Jr. His ambition was to offer the finest quality available in the collision repair industry, along with fair business practices. At Excel, we believe that these simple, but meaningful, thoughts have brought us through the years from a simple on-man shop to the ultra modern repair facility that we are today.

With an eye to the future, George has continually updated his shop with the latest state-of-the-art equipment to assure that Excel Auto Body would remain a leader in the automotive repair industry.

Rapid growth in the 80s necessitated the purchase of an additional building. The “paint shop” is used exclusively for refinishing, detail work, custom molding, and stripes.

In the mid 80s, Thomas White joined the firm and has worked his way into management. Tom was named President of Excel Auto Body in January of 2007. He is an innovative man who can assure Excel Auto Body will thrive as a family-owned and operated business.

As the automotive industry redesigns the newer automobiles, so does Excel train and update the employees in the latest technological advancements. Our teams of certified I-CAR trained professionals have the skill needed to repair today’s uni-body cars.

Excel Auto Body believes in detail to make a repair job complete. They have allotted a modern clean-up department, so that your finished product will be the finest possible. For over 48 years, Excel Auto Body has been striving to be the best in the industry. It has become the largest body repair facility locally, and is among the leaders nationally as well.

Excel Auto Body has truly changed in many ways over the years, but the philosophy is still the same: top quality repairs and fair business practices. This is as important today as it was when the doors first opened in 1959.
